Zinc-aluminum-magnesium coated steel plate refers to a coated steel plate with a certain amount of Al and Mg added to the existing hot galvanized coating or a certain amount of Mg added to the hot plated aluminum zinc coating, which has the characteristics of high corrosion resistance and high cutting edge protection. The results of laboratory accelerated experiments and outdoor exposure experiments have shown that the increase of Al and Mg content in a certain range can improve the corrosion resistance by several times to ten times. Another major advantage of the coating after adding Mg is that the cutting edge corrosion resistance of the steel plate is improved, and the Zn-based corrosion products containing Mg will cover the surface of the incision, thus forming protection for the incision.

 

1、Zinc aluminum magnesium product features:

(1) High corrosion resistance: The magnesium (Mg) component of the coating is conducive to promoting the formation of a very stable and dense protective film, generating and maintaining a film-like covering layer on the surface of the coating, thereby exerting excellent corrosion resistance.

(2) Incision protection: The incision parts of the steel plate processing are exposed to the air and are prone to red rust corrosion. However, the alloy elements in the surface coating of zinc, aluminum and magnesium form water-soluble ions in the atmospheric corrosion environment, and gradually cover the incision with the flow of liquid film, forming a stable protective film and covering the red rust at the incision position, significantly improving the corrosion resistance of the incision.

(3) Easy stamping: The friction behavior of zinc aluminum magnesium coating (ZM) and pure zinc coating (GI) in multiple friction processes was evaluated by reciprocating friction test machine. The friction coefficient of zinc-aluminum-magnesium coating is 15% lower than that of pure zinc coating, and it remains stable during the reciprocating friction process, indicating that zinc-aluminum-magnesium coating has excellent wear resistance.

2、Compared with the advantages of hot dip galvanizing:

(1) Shorten the process cost: The use of hot-dip galvanized aluminum magnesium can omit the hot-dip galvanized and post-treatment process as well as the supporting transportation, storage and other links, reduce pollutant emissions, improve efficiency and save costs.

(2) Improved corrosion resistance: under the condition of neutral salt spray test, the planar corrosion resistance of zinc-aluminum-magnesium coating is significantly better than that of hot-dip pure zinc coating.

(3) Warranty period: zinc aluminum magnesium products can provide more than 30 years of warranty, in line with the photovoltaic industry more than 25 years of use requirements.
